Armed with the goal of thrusting transformative learning to Paulinian students, Sr. Carolina Agravante, SPC, President of St. Paul University Iloilo, led 21 key administrators on a Strategic Planning Workshop at Bayview Park Hotel, Manila on April 7-10, 2010.
The workshop commenced with a series of visits to select Colleges and Universities. The SPU Iloilo administrators took note of the best practices of the College of Saint Benilde, Miriam College, St. Paul University Manila and St. Paul University Quezon City. The various inputs from the schools visited became a springboard of a diverse set of ideas during the workshop.
Dr. Nenita Habulan, Associate Professor at De LaSalle University Manila and SPU Iloilo’s Educational Technology Consultant facilitated the Strategic Planning Workshop. The academic endeavor aimed to identify the needs of the stakeholders of SPU Iloilo, to establish plans and develop programs reflecting its vision and mission. The management team was divided into groups to work on each Key Result Area: Christian Formation, Administration, Instruction and Research, Faculty and Support for Students. The culmination of the workshop was the formulation of the Strategic Plan to be implemented for the next three academic years (2010 – 2013).
